General Terms of Service

1. Service Overview:

   • The platform provides online tutoring services, connecting students with qualified tutors for personalized lessons.

2. Eligibility:

   • Users must be 18 years old or older to create an account and book lessons.

   • Minors may use the services under the supervision of a parent/guardian.

3. User Responsibility:

   • Users are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and access to required tools/software for the lessons.

   • Users must maintain respectful and professional behavior during interactions.

 

Rules and Guidelines

1. Lesson Scheduling:

   • Bookings must be made at least 4/6/12 hours in advance depending on the tutors choice.

   • Users can schedule multiple lessons back-to-back as per tutor availability.

2. Attendance:

   • Users are expected to join the lesson promptly at the scheduled time.

   • Delays of more than [15 minutes] without prior notice may result in the lesson being marked as completed.

3. Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy

   • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least [time limit, e.g., 24 hours] prior to the scheduled lesson start time to avoid charges.

   • For changes made beyond the specified time limit, a 50% fee of the lesson cost will apply.

   • We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and the tutor has the discretion to waive fees in exceptional cases.

4. Code of Conduct:

   • Tutors and students are expected to foster a positive and respectful learning environment.

   • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct will result in suspension or termination of the account.

 

Payment and Refund Policy

1. Payment Terms:

   • Payments are due at the time of booking via [accepted payment methods, e.g., credit card, PayPal].

   • Taxes and additional fees, if applicable, will be clearly displayed during checkout.

2. Refunds:

   • Refunds are issued only for lessons canceled within the specified time limit or under exceptional circumstances.

   • Refunds will be processed within 72 hours.

 

Liability Disclaimer

• The platform does not guarantee specific learning outcomes and is not responsible for technical issues arising from the user’s end (e.g., poor internet connectivity).

• Tutors operate as independent contractors and are responsible for the content and quality of their lessons.

 

Privacy and Data Protection

• User data will be collected and processed in accordance with our [Privacy Policy] to provide and improve services.

• Personal information will not be shared without explicit consent, except as required by law.
   

Reviews and Feedback

• Reviews provided by users may be displayed publicly on the platform to assist other users in selecting tutors.

• When submitting a review, users agree to allow their feedback and name to be shared on the platform.

• Any sensitive or personal information included in reviews will be redacted to ensure privacy.

• Reviews are used internally to improve the quality of services and maintain high tutor standards.

• Users may request to remove or edit their reviews by contacting support.
